Carved Vintage Wooden Horse

This striking hand-carved wooden horses from Rajasthan were produced around thirty years ago and embody the bold simplicity and enduring character of traditional Indian folk art. Crafted from solid wood, the strong, stylised form captures a sense of movement and presence, with elongated legs, a proud stance, and finely carved details showing the decorative harness and saddle.

Finished in a deep, charcoal-toned patina, the surface of each horse shows gentle wear and natural distressing, revealing warm undertones of the wood beneath. This aged finish enhances the sculptural quality, giving each piece a timeworn, almost architectural feel while preserving the integrity of the original craftsmanship.
