This characterful brass chapati box from Rajasthan has been thoughtfully adapted for modern use as a decorative spice container. Traditionally used to store and transport freshly made flatbreads, the original brass vessel features hand-engraved detailing to the lid, centred around a floral motif and framed by geometric borders characteristic of traditional North Indian metalwork.

The beautifully aged brass exterior displays a warm, time-worn patina that reflects decades of everyday use. Inside, a custom wooden insert fitted with six stainless steel spice cups has been added, creating a practical storage solution while preserving the integrity and charm of the original box. The insert can be lifted out using the central ring handle, allowing the brass interior to be appreciated in its original form.
