Turquoise Painted Indian Cabinet

A striking Indian almirah cabinet crafted from solid wood using old doors and finished in a richly weathered turquoise paint. The surface on the cabinet doors has gently worn over time, revealing layers of earlier paint and natural timber beneath, creating a beautifully textured patina that highlights the character of the wood.

The doors are decorated with distinctive sunburst carved panels, each radiating outward from a central point to form a bold geometric motif in a typical Indo-Portuguese style. These carved oval medallions are framed by delicate ornamental detailing, adding depth and visual interest while reflecting traditional Indian woodworking techniques.
