Rustic Elm Chinese Temple Cabinet
Shanxi, circa 1770
This extraordinary large cabinet was sourced from a temple in China's Shanxi province and dates from the 18th century. Still in its original finish, the dark lacquer has worn and crackled over time, resulting in a fabulous patina. Two side doors sit either side of the central doors, all set within rounded frames. The three panels above the doors show some beautiful carving. An imposing and rare piece with impressive proportions. Due to its size and weight, please contact us to discuss delivery when ordering.
